Description
This pictorial history of every test match, played between the two countries from the first staged in Melbourne in 1877 to the 1994-95 series in Australia, contains 1200 pictures selected from the large collection of material from the 285 matches. All the major scores with match reports are included, as are the immortal characters: Trumper, Bradman, Miller, Lillee, Border, Hobbs, Larwood. Includes a foreword from Alan McGilvray, Sir Donald Bradman, and David Gower and an index to players identified in the illustrations. The author founded 'Wisden Cricket Monthly' and has written a range of cricket books. Two of his books have won the Cricket Society Literary Award and he was voted Britain's Magazine Sportswriter of the Year in 1988.
